Description
A first owner and complete full set A. Lange & Söhne 140.021 Zeitwerk Jumping Hours in Yellow Gold.
This listed watch is currently in stock and provided pictures are made in-house from the actual watch.
The caliber L043.1, introduced in 2009 after years of development, consisting of a whooping 388 parts. The so-called constant force escapement not only ensures a consistent flow of power to the escapement, but also generates the impulses required to advance the jumping numerals. Lange used a mainspring far more powerful compared to what has been used before, delivering an equal torque force every minute to create that magical and precise disc jump; 1608 times a day.
The aesthetically pleasing movement is to be admired by the wearer behind a sapphire crystal.
The design of the Zeitwerk dial was driven by two primary intentions: the creation of a distinctive design and the horizontal placement of hours and minutes, which did not show to be an easy task. Nils Bode masterfully designed a dial for this unconventional approach to timekeeping, ensuring it would still fit within the A. Lange repertoire.
Our offered example remains in a close to unworn condition accompanied by its purchase receipt, A. Lange certificate, booklet and box (complete full set).
