English Silver Fusee Driven Pocket Watch – 1872

Large and thick English pocket watch in heavy sterling silver case. The fusee driven movement along with the solid silver dial makes this pocket watch just that little bit more exciting than others. Still very affordable in our opinion! Scroll down to read more about this Fusee.

Description

An English silver pocket watch with fusee movement and solid silver dial.

The pocket watch features an attractive solid silver dial with gold Roman hour indication. Detailled floral engraving around the centre of the dial. Great combination with the golden ‘spades’ hands and detailled decentralized seconds hand. The dial does show some flaws concerning the hour indication, you can see on the pictures some parts are missing at the 11’o clock indication.

The silver case shows few signs of wear. Sturdy lids which close properly. Some small dents and scratches here and there but nothing unusual.

The watch originates from the city of London and was made in the year 1872. (hallmark letter S)

The chain-driven fusee movement runs smoothly.
The balance bridge is hand engraved with a floral pattern.

Including winding key.
