Description
Housing the legendary 30T2 caliber would not be sufficient in terms of accuracy and movement finishing, which is the reason why Omega developed a a high grade version of the 30T2 in the 40s; the 30T2-RG.
Aside from the more noticeable changes between these two movements (the rose gold plating instead of nickel plating and the facetted mirror polished winding gear), the true change in value mechanically speaking was the new Omega RG (Index Regulation) screwhead-disc regulator.
The condition of this piece is marvelous and fully original / unrestored. The two-tone cross-hair dial features subtle small rose gold hour markers working well together with the rose gold leaf hands and the striking blued steel central seconds hand.
The case shows some signs of superficial scratches, no cuts or dents. Both lids close tightly.
The inside case back bears an Omega signature, gold hallmarks and the reference number.
The hand wound 30T2-rg movement, just like the rest of the watch, remains in unrestored clean condition running with fine accuracy.
