Description
This chronograph was specifically designed for those overseeing operations: Televerket employees responsible for timing the switchboards. The engraving on the back reads Tilhörr Televerket, meaning “property of Televerket.” These watches remained government property until July 1, 1993, when the company ceased to exist.
Let’s talk about the watch itself. The impressive 38mm stainless steel case and sunburst ‘Panda’ dial make it highly appealing to vintage watch collectors. The immaculate dial, which forgoes the Breitling signature in favor of the company’s logo, is a rare and exciting feature.
All luminous hour plots and the lume-filled baton hands are in perfect condition, displaying an attractive patinated color.
The large case has not been polished over the years, showing only light superficial scratches consistent with its age.
The Valjoux 7736 movement is pristine and runs with outstanding accuracy. The chronograph function operates flawlessly.
The watch comes with a later suede leather strap and generic buckle.
