Description

We’ll start with the immaculate dial showing patinated lume plots all completely intact and corresponding with the colour of the lume filled hands. The dial shows to be in untouched condition with no flaws of any kind. Any spots you see in the pictures are dust particles.
The central seconds hand and both the sub-dial hands show a slight discoloration which we think adds to the characteristics (even more so considering this piece is ± 60 years old).

It is difficult to rightly capture the texture of the dial which is both mat and glossy creating an unique coating which we do not see with for instance the 2447n models.
The metal white coated tension ring on the inside of the original crystal also shows to be in superb condition (quite often we find these rings to have some loss of paint).

The beefy case shows minor signs of use except for superficial scratches due to normal usage. The watch is unpolished resulting in a thick and sharp lugged case.

The Valjoux 92 caliber shows to be in superb condition, running with fine accuracy.

An overall gem considering aesthetics, history and collectability which does not often suface the market in such wonderful condition.
