Iconic 1970s Automatic Chronograph by Heuer, the ‘Monaco’ Ref 1533S (S for Silver dial) often reflected to as the “Steve McQueen’ watch although the watch he wore in the movie ‘Le Mans – 1971’ was the 1133B, which does closely resembles the less occurring 1533 we have here. Description

The silvered dial features a blue sub-register dial and date aperture at the 6’o clock position which works well together with the striking red centre chronograph hand. The tritium filled hands have an acquainted a stunning warm orange color. The dial shows some discoloration on the outer edges, which is minimal in comparison to the vast majority of these references, see pictures.

The square stainless steel case measures a large 40mm which is significant for a 70s watch. Original factory finishing with brushed sides and sharp edges. The original pushers on the 2 and 4 hour position are present, just as the original Heuer winding crown.

The Legendary automatic Cal. 15 movement remans in superb condition and works flawlessly.
