Description

A very uncommon type of escapement called a ‘Spring Detent Chronometer’ with, as you can see in the macro-pictures, an interesting use of an extra spring at the anchor.

The watch has a solid silver dial with golden Roman hour indication and a detailed engraving of two ships in the center of the dial. Steel blued spade hands and a decentralized seconds hand.

The heavy and large case is a work of art of itself. The incredible detailed engraving show numerous fine floral patterns and an image of fruits coming out a ‘cornucopia’.
Also, take a look at the edges of the inner lid and the edge which holds the crystal. Not often you see these highly engraved. The inner lid is full of lines text about the movement and its maker. No dents or deep scratches. Both lids open when pushing the top button and close tightly when closing.

The high quality movement is clean and winds smoothly. Ticks with a strong beat and a great sound originative from the spring detent escapement. Comes with winding key.
