A rare historical piece by Longines made back in 1937 (serial number 5.724.748) in 14K yellow gold.
This large and heavy piece remains in a well preserved condition. The slightly gold/silver coloured dial has tiny marks across, not strange for a 84 year old timepiece and in our opinion a nice add of characteristic value.
Large steel blued sword hands and Arabic numerals with a decentralized seconds hand.
The attractive thick casing is something different compared to most Longines from that era. Stunning brushed flat sides reaching an impressive 11mm in heights.
As can been seen in the pictures, the gold case shows a nice patinated colour telling us this watch has not been worn in a long time. No dents or deep scratches anywhere in the case.
The famous cal. 15.26 movement is clean and runs with accurate precision.
Comes on a later nato strap.
