Description
This atypical Omega features a matte two-tone silver dial depicting St. Christopher wading through a river with a walking stick whilst carrying on his shoulder the Christ child against a rays of glory background. An out of the ordinary timepiece, even more so for a conventional brand like Omega.
Hard to believe this watch is 89 years old looking at the overall condition. The dial shows a slight patina without any worth to mention marks or flaws whatsoever.
The movable coin edge bezel is still sharp after all these years indicating this watch has not been worn much throughout its life. We believe the watch is fitted with its original winding crown.
The cal. 23.4 movement is clean and runs with fine accuracy. The movement serial number dates this watch back to 1934.
The period correct steel Bonklip bracelet is a nice addition to this vintage piece. Please note that although the bracelet gives a sturdy feel, we’d advise the buyer to pair this watch with a strap of their own choosing due to the thin links of the Bonklip bracelet.
