Description

Please note that the condition of this watch is flawless, something we don’t come across often. Let alone a pocket watch from 1860 with hour and quarter repeater function. After examining this watch carefully the only flaw we can discover is a tiny dent in the repeater push button up top and some light scratches, that’s it…

The uncommon and eye-catching gold dial has a fine pattern in the midst of the dial, followed by a smooth band with black enamel Roman numerals.
The dial has been set with tiny pieces of glass as minute indicators. The two gold hands have each been set with one as well.
A small blued steel decentralized seconds hand as finishing touch on this magnificent dial.

The 18K rose gold case has a stunning design with a ‘Lepine’ style engraving. The engraved case is still clearly visible indicating this watch has not been worn much. In the band of the case there is a small lever which can be slide up to block the repeater push button. Very well crafted hinges which take little space but show strong sturdiness. Both lids have French gold hallmarked for 18K and a makers mark (JB).

The Cylinder movement is clean and winds/runs smoothly. Striking blued steel screws merging beautifully with the gold movement bridges.
The repeater function works perfectly with clear tones on both the hours as the quarters. A video of the watch chiming can send upon request.

Please note we handle an 24 hour purchase/shipment processing policy as all our watches are located in a bank safe.
