Rectangular Omega ‘Andrew Grima’ Silver DeVille Dress Watch

Thinking of special case and bracelet designs we do not tend to link Omega to those special quirky timepieces, as there weren’t really any of these unconventional Omega’s around. All true, until Andrew Grima got appointed to design a new line of watches for Omega back in 1969. Scroll down to read more about this cool piece.

Description

Offering two almost similar pieces both with their original ‘Silver Line’ Omega folding pouch here at Mokum Watches, presented here is the Rectangular version.

Just like the oval version which you will find in our online listings, this example is just as well preserved. Andrew Grima designed a number of striking Omega’s in full sterling silver.
Rectangular case design with cut off corners and a facetted same shaped glass crystal (original). Some minor scratches on the crystal caused by normal wear.

Both the case and bracelet remain in good unpolished condition. Heavy feel as Andrew was known for not cutting on the usage of material, didn’t matter if it was silver or gold. No signs of repairs or weak links anywhere.

The movement with 29 million serial number dates this piece back to 1972. Case back stamped with Omega signature, reference number and silver hallmarks. Original Omega winding crown present.

Watch is running well and keeping accurate timing.

Please note that we handle a 24 hour purchase/shipment processing policy as all our watches are located in a bank safe.
