This rare piece remains in outstanding and unrestored condition.
The immaculate dial features golden baton hour markers topped with a perfect orange lume plot, all present. Applied golden Rolex logo and lume filled baton hands. The light signature disappears in certain light fall, therefor nicknamed the so called ‘Ghost’ dial. Widely appreciated and loved by Rolex collectors.
Clear to say that the watch has not been worn much throughout its life. The details on the bark finished bezel and bracelet are as crisp as they get. the bracelet is long with 18,5 centimeters and will fit up to large sized writs. The fold clasp has three closing positions for different sized wrists. Case and bracelet both Rolex marked. Very little signs of use (see pictures).
The cal. 1161 movement is clean and runs with fine accuracy.
The watch is accompanied by a more modern Rolex box.
