Description
The condition of the dial is flawless. No signs of discoloration or scratches to be found. All lume plots still perfectly complete and present. Any imperfections seen are caused by some light scratches on the crystal.
The dial with its ghost writing frequently transitions into an appealing light grey hue, occasionally nearing complete invisibility in certain light fall. Absolutely stunning.
As can be seen in the pictures, the hour hand exhibits a few faint scratches, which do not detract from its overall appearance but is nevertheless good to know.
The case shows normals signs of use such as superficial scratches. Both the serial number and reference number between the lugs are clearly legible.
The sturdy lugs serve as a testament to the watch’s minimal or non-existent past polishing, while the fluted bezel proudly displays crisp and distinct lines.
The mesh bracelet retains its original, undamaged state without any restoration. The inside clasp boasts a captivating, slightly patinated Rolex logo, complemented by multiple gold and factory hallmarks. The clasp shows some light superficial scratches (refer to pictures). The scarce mesh bracelet does feature an adjustable clasp meaning it fits up to both smaller and larger sized wrists.
The Cal. 1556 movement is impeccably clean and operates with precise accuracy.
This watch comes with a 12 month guarantee on mechanical defects.
The watch is accompanied by a rare Rolex coffin box and a Rolex Oyster booklet from the 70s.
