1,850

Introduced during the early 1950s, the Rolex 6505 Lady Oyster Perpetual embodies the brand’s pioneering spirit in creating robust yet elegant timepieces for women. As one of the earlier references to feature both the waterproof Oyster case and self-winding Perpetual movement in a compact ladies’ size, it reflects Rolex’s commitment to precision and durability across all models. The watch’s classic design—with its engine turned bezel, refined dial, and modest proportions—captures the understated sophistication of post-war Swiss watchmaking. Produced in 1953, this reference stands as a testament to Rolex’s early efforts to offer technical innovation in a timeless, wearable form.

– Unpolished case.
– Immaculate Cal. 1130.

What you should know:

General information:
Well-preserved and unrestored which is uncommon for a 72-year-old timepiece. The Oyster case has performed admirably, protecting the watch from dirt and moisture, as evidenced by the pristine condition of both the movement and dial. Distinctive spaceship-style hour markers at 3 and 9 add a charming touch. The original radium lume plots and luminous hands remain fully intact. The engine-turned bezel retains its crisp, finely detailed lines. Serial and reference numbers between the lugs are perfectly legible. The clean Caliber 1130 winds smoothly and runs as it should.

Case dimension: 24mm.
