With the use of the impressive JLC Cal.426-2 (just 12,4 millimeters) Cartiers design of making a watch functioning as a piece of jewelry succeeded flawlessly.
Being made in the 30s era, we are able to enjoy the minimalistic Cartier style dial, double band ‘snake’ link bracelet and fancy white gold diamond encrusted lugs (32 diamonds).
The subtle and meticulously crafted bracelet wears incredibly well around the wrist.
The watch is entirely original. Meaning; the dial, hands and movement have not been restored or replaced by service parts. The case, bracelet and clasp show no signs of polishing, twisting or dents anywhere. The condition of this watch is to be compared to how the watch originally was when it left the French Cartier factory in the 1930s, except for some minmal scratches.
Case back is numbered 20101 & 162668 (668 also stamped within the case body, see macro shot). The watch bears multiple French 18K hallmarks on casing and bracelet clasp.
Movement has been thoroughly tested by our watchmaker and runs well within the accuracy standards we can expect from a 90 year old 12,4mm movement (1 minute off every 24 hours).
Total length: 16,7 Centimeters (wrist circumference of 15,7cm up to 16,5cm due to three different clasp closing positions).
Comes with red leather Cartier presentation pouch.
