Excelsior Park, as some of you will know, made their own caliber movements, as well as their chronographs. The EP 40 (30-min encounter) which is powering the listed watch above, also known as the 4-68, as well as the 12 hour register chronograph caliber EP 42. Quite interesting that only Gallet made use of their Chrono calibers as most big Swiss brands went to Valjoux or Venus to acquire ebauche Chronograph movements. We strongly think this adds value to a watch, not making life easy for themselves and investing a lot of time, money and effort into making reliable chronograph movements.
