Omega Speedmaster Limited Japanese Racing Dial · Ref. 145.0022 · 42mm

This watch has been sold.

The Omega Speedmaster reference 145.0022 represents one of the most enduring evolutions of the iconic “Moonwatch” lineage, produced during the late 1960s through the 1980s. This particular example stands apart with its rare Japanese “racing” dial and matching handset — a striking configuration known for its vivid orange/red accents and playful, high-contrast design. The dial’s exotic tones lend a dynamic presence to the otherwise utilitarian form of the Speedmaster, echoing Omega’s brief experimentation with colorful, motorsport-inspired aesthetics of the era. Beneath its lively surface beats the trusted Calibre 861, a movement celebrated for both reliability and precision. The combination of heritage, rarity, and tasteful eccentricity makes this piece a nice additional to anyone that collects Omega. Scroll down to read more.
