More details about this timepiece
The crème dial has aged evenly and shows only light signs of use, with uncommon Arabic radium numerals and patinated pencil hands. It carries the early Piaget signature found on the brand’s pieces from the 1940s to the 1960s. A Geiger counter confirms (quite heavily) the radium lume, and under UV light the dial glows evenly before fading almost at once.
The case shows little wear. The lugs are sharp, the stepped bezel is clean and the brushed sides are free of notable marks. It has an unusual two-part hermetic caseback, threaded on the inner edge and with eight half-circle notches.
Inside is a Leonidas-signed Valjoux 22, clean and keeping excellent time.
