This watch has been sold.

A refined 1963 Rolex Day-Date ref. 1807, distinguished by its bark-finish bezel and paired here with a supple brown leather strap for a quietly confident look. Introduced in 1956, the Day-Date was the first self-winding, waterproof chronometer to display both the date and the day in full, quickly establishing itself as Rolex’s flagship model. The 1807 reference, part of the early 1800-series introduced in the 1960s, is celebrated for its unique bark-textured bezel and matching elements—an artisanal detail that sets it apart from its fluted or smooth counterparts. This example features the sought-after “Wide Boy” dial and hands, admired for their balanced proportions and distinctive presence. The champagne sunburst finish adds warmth and a soft play of light, lending the watch an air of understated sophistication. Altogether, it’s a piece that captures the essence of mid-century Rolex design—elegant, confident, and effortlessly timeless.
