The Cartier Santos was introduced in 1904 for aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont. Its square case and visible screws revolutionized watch design, became an enduring timeless classic in the world of watch enthousiast.
This example features an immaculate white dial with black roman hour indication and a date window at the 6 hour position.
Classic blued steel ‘sword’ hands working well together with the facetted cabochon winding crown.
The case and bracelet remain in unpolished condition, which is rare, indicating the watch has not been worn much by its previous owners.
There’s some light superficial scratches (see macro shots), no nicks or deep scratches throughout.
The bracelet is composed of 21 links (including end links) and shows no signs of stretching.
The Cal.76 movement has been fitted with a new battery in November 2024.
Watch is accompanied by its red leather Cartier box.
