Description
Not often surfacing the watch market, some sold in major auction houses (stunning example with rare dial at Phillips (May, 2018).
The dial remains in original untouched condition with all radium lume hour markers and plots fully intact.
The original set of ‘pencil’ hands show perfect intact lume, accompanied by a blued steel centre seconds hand. The hour and minute hand show a slight different tone of patinated colour.
The large sturdy case is unpolished. There is a tiny dent in the bezel edge at the 2’o clock position which can be seen in the pictures.
Inside case back is stamped with the reference number and bears a Longines signature.
The caliber 12,68N movement is as clean as a whistle and runs with great accuracy.
With extract from the archives indicating the watch was delivered to Sweden/Norway on the 15th of November in 1950.
Accompanied by a period correct brown leather Longines box.
Strap and buckle are aftermarket.
