Description

Notably, the Omega Centenary was the company’s first chronometer certified automatic wristwatch. The man in charge of designing the Omega Centenary and Omega Seamaster, both in 1948, was René Bannwart. The outstanding achievement of the Centenary prompted Omega to initiate the development of a follow-up model intended for mass production, ultimately evolving into a distinctive collection in its own right, the Constellation.

Superb overall condition and accompanied by its original box and a vintage 50s/60s gold plated buckle (uncommon model).
The golden dial remains in unrestored condition, showing no signs of flaws (one tiny spot on the right side of the Omega signature, see pictures).
Applied golden hour markers and Omega logo.

The case shows very few remarks in the form of normal wear like superficial scratches. Snap back case closes tightly.

This model is fitted with a bumper automatic caliber which bears a serial number dating the movement back to 1947 (which is correct to this 1948 watch since the movements weren’t always cased in the year in which they were produced). Movement is running wel end keeps accurate timing, comes with 12 months guarantee on any mechanical defects.
