General information:
Well-preserved example coming from a collector who clearly valued and cared for the watch. The case shows only light traces of wear—remarkably for a piece over six decades old. The bark-finish bezel, a feature that cannot be refinished, remains crisp and beautifully defined. Both the serial and reference numbers between the lugs are perfectly legible, with serial 931.xxx confirming a 1963 production year. The serviced Caliber 1555 performs flawlessly and is accompanied by a remaining Rolex service guarantee of over 1.5 years. Included are the rare large brown Rolex presentation box, Day-Date booklet, and the service invoice and guarantee card. The watch is fitted with a later brown leather strap and a modern gold-plated Rolex buckle.
