Description
A hard-to-find Rolex reference 6332, also known as the “Big Bubble Back”.
A model produced exclusively in 1954. The year of manufacture is also confirmed by the watch serial number and inside case back.
Its condition is gorgeous. The crème coloured dial has a striking brownish patina.
The case is unpolished, with brushed satin sides and polished lug faces, as it should be. The straight edges of this case lend it a prominent wear and feel.
The original stepped ‘Bullseye’ dial has started to patina in a really nice way. Applied “pencil” hour markers and steel dagger hands.
An exceptional calibre A296 movement which, predates the 1030 and is an improvement on the earlier bubble back movements, with the addition of shock jewels and a better auto-winding mechanism.
Runs great and keeps time very well.
Because of the short production run there are not so many of these around, so quite a rare watch, yet modestly valued and in great overall condition.
Comes with an original green leather rolex box.
