Description
Breathtaking Universal Genève Tri-Compax Ref.22279 from the year 1945.
Thin Arabic numerals, smaller minutes indices and one fifth of a seconds indications.
All 7 hands are original to this watch with 6 of them in blued steel and the day of the month hand in red.
Stunning blued steel lume filled ‘Lozenge’ shaped hands that have developed a lovely beige colour.
The steel case bears both the serial and reference number on its case back (ref.22279 and serial 1.155.476) dating the watch back to 1945.
The sharp steel case looks to be unpolished, normal wear (scratches) corresponding to its age. No worth to mention flaws.
Its gilded movement is clean and runs with great accuracy. All complications work (as well as all quick set options) as they should with a perfectly working chronograph function.
The watch is accompanied by a later strap/buckle.
